Well, the wait is over and there will not be any babies for my Tweetybird. Out of the four eggs that she laid, two of them this week she ate the egg shells. The other two are empty eggs. So, either I do not have a fertile Canary or this first time parenting, didn't work. Either way today I cleaned out the cage and removed the nest. Tweetybird and Sir Lord of Basalt may try again and if they do I'll add the nest back to the cage, but for now they are singing, flying around and enjoying themselves.
I really would of liked the eggs to hatch, but to tell you the truth I'm far to busy right now to be playing Mom to baby chicks. So, it was all as it should have been.
